The BM50A series is a robust, shielded SMT stacking interconnect system (2 rows, 0.5mm pitch) designed for parallel board-to-board connections. It supports data rates of 10, 16, and 25 Gbps, with pin counts ranging from 40 to 220. Compliant with standards such as PICMG and PCIe 4.0, the system features a shielded plug and a receptacle with integrated grounding pins. A "Heavy Gold" version (0.76μm gold plating) is available for harsh environments, offering a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C; the optimized contact design ensures high-speed transmission (16–25 Gbps+) and signal integrity.

Product Features

Implementing Electromagnetic Interference Countermeasures Through Shielding And Grounding.

Safe grounding is achieved by connecting the metal shielding layer to the reinforcing metal fittings. (Example) 160 core: Upon mating, contact occurs in the following order: shield, power terminals, signal terminals.

Reliable Terminal Contact
The effective contact length of the signal terminal is 1.2 mm, which provides sufficient margin for the mating travel.
Equipped With Reinforced Metal Fittings To Enhance Weld Peel Strength.
Reinforcement components can enhance the peel strength of the circuit board during the soldering process; their unique structure allows for contact with the ground plane, thereby serving to reinforce it.

Large Lead-In Geometry Ensures Excellent Mating Performance.

Larger guide features facilitate the mating operation (the guide features also prevent reverse insertion).

Models Without A Ground Plate Are Available.
There are also models that omit the ground plate but increase the number of signal terminals to compensate for its removal.

Signal:Ground = 10:1
The ratio of signal terminals to ground terminals is 10:1; they are connected directly from the ground plate to the circuit board using SMT to stabilize the ground line and reduce noise.

High-Speed Transmission Characteristics
Simulations of the connector system at 10, 16, or 25 Gbps demonstrate best-in-class signal integrity, making it the preferred choice for applications requiring data rates of up to 25 Gbps and beyond.
