BM80A Series

The BM80A series of board-to-board connectors features an innovative contact design. Unlike traditional SMD connectors that rely on a single interface between blade and spring contacts, the BM80A series incorporates both a blade contact and a spring contact within the shielding of each connector half (plug or receptacle). Thanks to this reliable connection technology, the 0.8 mm pitch connector ensures dual contact points per pin and high redundancy, resulting in maximum contact reliability. Consequently, the neutral contact system maintains a secure, robust, and gas-tight connection even when subjected to external factors such as shock, vibration, thermal cycling, and toxic gases. The neutral contact system offers an exceptionally high tolerance compensation of 0.4 mm during mating, providing a floating function that makes the connector highly versatile. The geometry of the insulating housing is designed to recess the contacts within the body, effectively protecting them from damage, while also reliably preventing contact misalignment.

    The BM80A series supports stacking heights ranging from 6.00 mm to 20.00 mm. The minimum height is achieved via a stopper structure, while the maximum height is realized through a 1.5 mm variable mating depth,

    maintaining an effective contact length of 0.8 mm to ensure connection reliability.



    *The BM80A series supports a 2.3mm mating range, allowing the plug and receptacle to mate with a 1.5mm float tolerance without compromising data transmission;it accommodates PCB stacking heights from 6.00mm to 20.00mm, ensuring a perfect fit for applications without requiring full insertion to the bottom.

    *Inserting to the limit stop achieves the minimum PCB spacing; at the maximum spacing,a mating depth of just 0.8 mm ensures a fast and reliable connection.
    Electromagnetic Compatibility
    As installation density increases, the risk of mutual interference rises. To ensure the interference-free operation of electrical components, shielded connectors with high electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) should be used.

    A dual-shielding design ensures interference-free, high-speed transmission in industrial environments. The shielding materials are suitable for components with stringent EMC requirements; with a maximum coupling inductance of only 10 pH, the impact of electric and magnetic fields on the connector can be effectively quantified and evaluated.
